North and West High School Zones Championships
The combined North and West High School Okanagan Zones championships were held in Kamloops on May 11, 2022. Schools from both the West and the North Zones participated. For many of the athletes attending, this was the first school track meet they attended since the COVID shutdown of school activities. Despite the long time of no track meets, the athletes performed well and appeared to enjoy themselves.
Athletes attending were invited to participate in the Okanagan Championship, also held in Kamloops on May 19. Those placing 1st to 4th in each event from each zone were eligible to attend. If they were unable to participate, others in the event were able to advance for each zone.
