Athletics Canada announced its Athletics Canada Tokyo Qualifier Series that will offer high-level competitive opportunities on home soil for its high performance athletes and Olympic/Paralympic hopefuls. Prize money will be available to the top-placing individuals, in addition to travel and Integrated Support Team support.

The nine meets, which will take place in four provinces and in 10 cities across the country, will offer athletes the opportunity to achieve the Olympic or Paralympic qualification standard and to gain valuable world rankings points. The Kamloops Track and Field Club is proud to be hosting three of these opportunities for throws’ athletes. The Kamloops Throws Festival takes place on June 5th, 2021 in Kamloops, BC. Additionally, to accomodate COVID 19 restrictions, we will also be hosting the throwing event portions of the Victoria Track Classic and the Vancouver Sun Harry Jerome Track Classic on June 9th and June 12th respectively, in Kamloops. All other events for the Victoria Track Classic and Vancouver Sun Harry Jerome Track Classic will take place at thier home venues.
