Jamboree in the News

Watch and listen to the story of the success of the meet and the Kamloops Track and Field Club on CFJC Today.

2019 BC Championships Jamboree a Success

Despite a very rainy start on Friday, and periods of rain showers on Saturday and Sunday, the Jamboree went well. Events on the track were on time as were field events. Many of the athletes, coaches, and families who attended the meet were appreciative of the many hours of hard work that went into planning and hosting this large meet, one of the largest in the past number of years. Planning has already begun for the Jamboree which will also be held in Kamloops next year.

Results from the meet can be found on our Jamboree page, which can be accessed through our Club Meets page, or directly at http://kamtrack.ca/2019/05/2019-jamboree-u16-u18-u20-senior-championships/

Finals Schedules and Performance List have now been published

After a great deal of consideration and thought into how we can make everything work well for athletes, we have now published the Final Schedules and the Final Performance Lists for the Jamboree. We certainly understand that this creates some problems for athletes (especially those from the Island), but we have done our best to fit everything in. The numbers attending the Jamboree are quite high (678 athletes registered). We had many athletes who left registering until the last minute, which caused problems for getting final schedules out earlier.

Please review the updated Meet Information package to see how we will deal with out-of-province athletes, and how medals will be awarded.

All of this information can be found on our Club Meets page in the right-hand column beside the BC Championships Jamboree row.
